I am Dr. Favorite Iradukunda. 

Welcome

A nurse scholar and assistant professor at the Elaine Marieb College of Nursing, University of Massachusetts Amherst.

My research focuses on multi-culturalism, immigration, and health outcomes for African diasporic women/birthing people 

Specifically, my work centers community knowledge and culturally congruent interventions to strengthen holistic wellbeing for African diasporic women, families, and communities.

I hold a Ph.D. in Nursing from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, an M.Sc. in Nursing from the University of Cape Town, South Africa, and a BSN from the University of Rwanda.

I am fluent in Kinyarwanda, French, and English.

I have worked at the intersection of nursing, maternal-child health, and infectious disease prevention and treatment, including HIV/AIDS. My current involvement focuses on power and politics in Global health and involves advocating for the inclusion of nurses in Global Health leadership and developing justice-centered and equitable collaborations in global nursing.
